The question is how long a road are we going to have to walk to get there. How open are we to viewing each other as individual human beings, as opposed to having our interchange defined by labels?

This is an excellent post that I really appreciated reading. I observe that the media loves creating and featuring stories that are grounded in labeling and stereotyping and their audiences thrill to sensationalized reporting. I fear that it's going to take a very long time for the labeling and stereotyping to become less prevalent and that makes me sad.
