		<description>Sounds like an absurdist play.   I remember a few summers ago in NYC a cop giving  a very pregnant woman a ticket for sitting down on the subway steps.  Now, you would have to feel pretty tired or sick to sit down on most NYC subway steps and this woman being pregnant and taking a breather had a very good reason but this cop doing his job felt the need to ticket her rather than tell her she can&#039;t sit there.    This type of flexing has got to stop.  This post makes me wonder where we draw the line and how can we stand up for ourselves when everyone including the ticket guard in your account is so full of fear.  Fear of losng their jobs for not following rules to a &#039;T,&#039; losing control, etc.  Consequently, the commuters are fearful of making too many waves and possibly getting arrested.  But you are so right to raise the question of what will become of these flimsy barriers?  Great post.
