CDF, the Green Curmudgeon, is the owner, author and publisher of this site. He is his late thirties and presently a PhD in English graduand at a British university; he spent the first half of his life in the United States, and thus maintains a long standing interest in American affairs.  He lives in the South of England, the nation’s extended garden, and loves its beauties and delights.

In addition to writing and the environment, his interests include technology, cooking, the study of Islam, the philosophy of Slavoj Zizek, the writings of Edward Said, all sorts of literature and growing tomatoes and chllli peppers.
